TOWER OF WHOOP--
Now bare with me because I've never been very good at making bounce pads, so this is probably the worst thing I could've tried to replicate! LOL
I wasn't able to finish it the way I wanted it to, aswell, because I ran out of room... A bit of a shame, but apart from all that I think I have done a fairely (but by no means a winner) good job. This is also the first contest I have entered. I would have liked to have won a crown before LBP2 comes out, but the chances of that are pretty slim!
Thank you for your time, and I hope my bounce pads play nice for you!

If you are in the competition there is always a chance of winning.
I agree bounce pads are a pain in the bum, especially when the break. The easiest ones are the button based pads, but sometimes they just don't look right.
If you make your own like I do you end up with even more trouble. The thing shoots to hard or not far enough. the timing is too quick and you get stuck underneath. The pad breaks and you're left with just a piston.
Also the smaller you make the pad the harder it is to tweak, this I think is why in lbp2 they give us proper bounce pads.
I've had ones made out of taxi metal destroyed by moving cardboard!
good luck anyway, I'll check out your level next time I'm on.

omg i know the feeling! my bouncepads did the same thing before i tweaked them in exchange for a more functional model. i'll take a working model over one that looks right any day

Even worse is when you put them side by side. you want there to be 0.0 gap but at the same time you want them to move independently.
Any shift in scenery, slight mis-alignment or ANYTHING and they jam together. Even with grid ON!

I find that making the launching piece of the bounce pad out of something invisible gives you a lot more freedom, since it can go out as far as you want without looking funny. Makes it a lot easier to tweak distance and power. =)
